Elisheva's floor had a puddle

Her book was wet.

"Why is my book so wet?" she came out and asked.

Like a little bit wet would have been acceptable.

Indeed, her pink hippo, beside it on the floor, was also damp.

Floor puddle.

First culprit: guinea pig water bottle. Maybe Naomi got at it? Maybe I dripped when refilling it? But I hadn't refilled it, and it was right where Elisheva had left it (not in the holder, though - argh).

Suspiciously glance upwards.

Nothing untoward... except... the puddle was right under the light fixture.

Some suspicious marks on the ceiling, around the light fixture.

Suspicious blob of water on the bottommost tip of the light fixture.

The water is coming from the ceiling.

Her ceiling is leaking.

Eek.

Something to do with last year's lousy eavestrough repair??? Or something even more sinister...

I have no idea, I don't want to know.

So I'm in the Land of Denial right now, making chocolate sorbet and Cookies n' Cream ice cream.

Blah, blah, blah... I CAN'T HEAR YOU...! Flintstones, meet the Flintstones, they're the brontosaurus family... or something.
